It’s worrying to think that our little ones are mastering how to operate media devices before they know how to tie their shoe laces. Recent research from Ofcom shows that pre-schoolers, aged 3-4, are spending eight hours and 18 minutes a week online whilst kids/teenagers aged 5 – 15 are spending a scary 15 hours a week online, (overtaking the time spent watching the television).

Although the number of children surfing the web unsupervised may come as a shock, the real issue is that a scary 94% of parents don’t have parental control on all of their media devices in the home. Safer Internet Day takes place on 6th February with the mission to promote the safe and responsible use of technology for young people.

This is why we’ve teamed up with our good friends at iKydz to bring you their parental control device. iKydz is a smart device which offers parents an easy solution to fully control internet in the home. You attach the box to your Wi-Fi router and choose what apps and websites to filter out at what hours. With iKydz, your kids will be able to enjoy the internet safely.

It’s an iKydz home device coupled with a family trip for 4 (two adults, two kids) at warner brothers studios in London.
